Widow, 92, stabbed 32 times in Makati
MANILA, Philippines - A 92-year-old widow was stabbed dead in her house in Barangay Comembo, Makati City Monday night, in what police said was a case of robbery.
Acting city police Chief Superintendent Jaime Santos said Victorina Gonzales was found on her bed by her sister, Roberta Adajar. The victim was declared dead on arrival at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City.
Police said Gonzales was stabbed at least 32 times in the chest and neck.
“Most of the stab wounds were shallow but one in her upper chest was deep,” Santos said.
Gonzales shared the house on Anahaw Street with her relatives and grandchildren. Santos said the victim’s $400 pension, which she recently received, is missing.
He also suggested that the victim knew her killer as there was no signs of forced entry into her room.
