BI sets up Twitter, Facebook accounts

Manila, Philippines -  The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced yesterday that it now has accounts on Facebook and Twitter to allow the public to give suggestions as well as air complaints against the agency and its personnel.

The bureau’s Facebook fan page can be accessed at https://facevbook.com/OfficialBureauofImmigration while its Twitter account is on https://twitter.com/immigrationPH.

BI spokesperson Ma. Antonette Mangrobang said the two social network accounts would be administered and maintained by the BI National Operations Center (BINOC).

She said any and all content and updates posted on these accounts shall first be approved either by Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. or BI Associate Commissioner Siegfred Mison, who is in charge of the BI’s information and communications technology section.

Mangrobang and BINOC head Rodolfo Gino are also authorized to approve the posting of information on these accounts.
