Manila, Philippines -  Three houses in two exclusive villages in Muntinlupa City were broken into by burglars over the weekend.

Czech national Lucas Rosulek, 37, general manager of Continental Electronics in Taguig, reported discovering the break-in at about 6 p.m. Saturday. He believes the burglars entered his house in Ayala Alabang through the kitchen window.

Chief Inspector Giovanni Martinez, head of the local police intelligence unit, said Rosulek had just arrived home when he discovered that the wallet, which he placed on top of his cabinet, was missing.

Inside the wallet are several credit cards; his Czech and Philippine driver’s license; identification cards; $800, P15,000; and documents.

Another burglary was reported in Ramon Rivilla’s residence in the same village on Sunday. Rivilla said he arrived home at about 1:30 a.m. when he discovered that the gate’s padlock was missing.

When he checked the house, Rivilla found that the jewelry boxes inside a cabinet are missing, said Martinez.

About 8 p.m. on the same night, Genevive de Lima Shoaf of Alabang Hills also reported a burglary.

Like Rivilla and Rosulek, Shoaf said she discovered the break-in after she got home and saw the master’s bedroom had been ransacked. She said she lost branded wristwatches, jewelry, and expensive electronic gadgets.

Martinez said city police chief Senior Superintendent Ramiro Bausa has directed investigation unit head Chief Inspector Michael David to investigate the series of break-ins.
