MANILA, Philippines - Two barges rammed at least 100 houses in Tondo, Manila, leaving some 130 families homeless at the height of rains spawned by tropical storm “Gener” on Sunday night.

The unanchored barges, 50 feet long and 15 feet wide, struck the houses mostly made of light materials along Carnation street in Barangay 105 at 9 p.m.

Reports said barangay officials evacuated the affected residents to a chapel in Tondo.

No one was reported injured in the incident.
