2 Japanese arrested at NAIA with 4.5 M yen

MANILA, Philippines - Two Japanese businessmen who wanted to save money on bank-to-bank transactions by bringing more than 4.5 million yen in their luggage were arrested after arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 yesterday.
Shitara Sakae, 70, said he and Jimbo Katsuo, 72, brought the money intended for a talent promotion agency they will set up with their partner, whom he identified as actress Marissa Delgado.
Customs officers said the two men were arrested for not declaring the money.
