P76-M fake LV bags seized

MANILA, Philippines - Police confiscated 2,600 pieces of fake Louis Vuitton bags and apparels worth P76 million during separate raids in Baclaran, Pasay City and Binondo, Manila the other day.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr. said his men simultaneously raided the stalls in FB Harrison, Pasay City and the 168 Shopping mall in Binondo.

Pagdilao said the raids stemmed from the complaint of Louis Vuitton company for violation of the Intellectual Property Rights.

Operatives from the CIDG Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crime Division conducted the raids on the strength of search warrants issued by a Manila court.
