1 of 5 payroll heist suspects named
MANILA, Philippines - Investigators have identified one of the five robbers who staged a payroll heist at a manning firm in Valenzuela City July 14, an official said yesterday.
Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor, Valenzuela City police chief, said at least two witnesses pointed to Santiago Renieva as one of the armed men who robbed Alfredo Glor, 62, cashier of RBML Manpower Services in Barangay Canumay East of P52,000. Mayor said the witnesses picked out Renieva’s image from police files of suspected criminals.
According to Mayor, Renieva has pending warrants of arrest for robbery and murder before the Valenzuela City Regional Trial Court Branches 171 and 269, respectively.
Another robbery case was filed last Friday against Renieva for the RBML heist before the Valenzuela City prosecutor’s office, Mayor said.
