MANILA, Philippines - The city government of Navotas yesterday launched a series of activities to boost its health programs and provide basic medical needs to the residents.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco said the activities are part of the celebration of Nutrition Month this July.
“To boost the city government’s existing health programs, we have enjoined volunteer doctors, dentists, aerobic dance instructors and enthusiasts and bikers to join us in various activities this month to step up the campaign for a healthy lifestyle and provide basic medical needs to our constituents,” said Tiangco.
The celebration kicked off with a free tooth extraction organized by Councilor Reynaldo Monroy.
Free aerobic sessions are held every weekend at the Navotas Centennial Park.
