Cop who blocked Noy's convoy in deeper trouble

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City policeman who refused to give way to President Aquino’s convoy the other day is in big trouble.

Superintendent Ferdinand Villanueva, head of the Quezon City Police District Investigation and Detective Management Division, said they found out that SPO2 Ricardo Pascua was driving without a license, using a private vehicle with an illegally installed siren and improperly placed license plates.

“So far, these were the violations committed by Pascua when he refused to give way to the convoy of the President along Commonwealth Avenue,” Villanueva said.

Pascua was driving a red Mitsubishi Adventure (ZJK-679) when he figured in the incident with the Presidential Security Group (PSG).

“He failed to show his driver’s license after he got accosted and brought to Camp Karingal,” Villanueva added.
