- Jerry Botial - The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines - The body of a still unidentified man, wrapped in a blanket, was found in front of a supermarket in Caloocan City early yesterday.

Witnesses told police they saw two men on a motorcycle dump the body, tied with a nylon cord and wrapped in a blanket, in front of the Parco supermarket near the Light Rail Transit terminal on Rizal Avenue Extension at around 1 a.m.

Police officers found near the victim’s body a sheet of paper bearing the message, “Mga biktima ng holdap sa Monumento, sana mapatawad nyo ako. Sa mga kasama kong holdaper, sana huminto na kayo (To the robbery victims in Monumento, I hope you will forgive me. To my fellow robbers, I wish you would stop).”

The area where the body was dumped, up to the Bonifacio Monument Circle two blocks away, becomes dark when business establishments close down for the night, witnesses said.
