Fires hit Pasay, Batasang Pambansa

MANILA, Philippines - A fire broke out at a residential area along Tramo Avenue in Pasay City yesterday.

A woman and her daughter were reportedly missing at the height of the blaze, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.

Firemen were still fighting the fire as of press time yesterday, said city fire marshal Chief Inspector Douglas Guiab.

Meanwhile, a faulty electrical wiring sparked a fire at the House of Representatives yesterday morning.

House secretary general Marilyn Barua-Yap said the fire broke out at the third floor of the south wing building.
