2 rob suspects caught in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Two men were arrested after they and three others tried to rob the passengers of a jeepney plying the Monument-Recto route Monday night.

Police officers arrived in time to foil the robbery along Rizal Avenue at around 9 p.m. Edgardo Eluna, 33, and Joel Catacutan, 27, both from Tondo, Manila, were apprehended after they and their companions fled in different directions. Their companions escaped.
