PAF disowns man who threatened Amalia Fuentes
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Air Force (PAF) yesterday clarified that the person who allegedly pointed a gun at actress Amalia Fuentes last Sunday is no longer part of the military.
PAF spokesman Col. Miguel Okol said S/Sgt. Sesinando Tee Jr. never underwent annual active duty training since he was enlisted on May 25, 2008.
“He is not connected in any way to PAF now. He is an inactive reservist. Formerly, he was with the 1st Air Reserve Wing. Now, he is a pure civilian,” Okol said in a text message.
Since Tee is no longer part of PAF, he is no longer authorized to wear military uniform, he added.
Okol said the 1st Air Reserve Wing has been informed of Tee’s actions. He said the unit is discussing what to do with Tee, who has been charged with grave threats.
Tee was arrested last Sunday in Quezon City after he was accused of threatening and pointing a gun at Fuentes.
The suspect allegedly identified himself as a member of the Military Intelligence Group.
Police reports said the incident happened at one of Fuentes’ houses in New Rolling Hills Subdivision, Barangay Damayang Lagi.
The actress had rented the house to Rosemarie Tee-Licup, the suspect’s sister, and her husband.
Fuentes said she found out that the Licups, who owed her money, were leaving the house and packing their possessions.
When she arrived at the house in her Mitsubishi Pajero, Tee, who was in a Starex van, reportedly pointed a gun at her.
The Licups, however, claimed that the actress had shouted invectives at them. They also alleged that Fuentes and her son, Gerard Stevens, had assaulted them.
The Licups have filed a complaint against Fuentes and her son for grave threats, frustrated homicide, grave coercion, oral defamation, and unjust vexation with the fiscal’s office.
