MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man suspected to have been summarily executed was found along Road 10 in Port Area, Manila yesterday, the third one over the past week.

Police Officer 3 Rodel Benitez said the victim had a moustache, was approximately 30 to 35 years old and 5’4” tall. The body was found a stone’s throw away from the former Smokey Mountain dump at around 4:20 a.m. yesterday, near the place where the body of another suspected summary execution victim was found Tuesday morning.

The latest victim was barefoot, wrapped in packaging tape, with both hands tied behind his back with abaca rope. He bore the tattoos “Maritime Country” on his stomach and “Bernie” on his back.

Last Tuesday, Reynaldo Calanos found the second body of a man he said bore strangulation marks on the neck.

On June 16, the body of a man who was shot in the nape and left eye was found near the Aplaya shoreline in Tondo. Police found an identification card bearing the name Michael Dabalos near the body, but have not yet confirmed whether the victim was Dabalos.
