Kin of slain robbers mull charges vs cops

Manila, Philippines -  The families of the four suspected robbers killed in an encounter with police in Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila are planning to file charges against the police.

This after a man claiming to be a friend of one of the slain suspects maintained that no shootout happened as the four were not able to fire back at the law enforcers.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he personally knew William Olivar and that he was in the vicinity when the incident happened.

Olivar and three others were killed after they allegedly traded shots with policemen who responded to a call that four armed men were acting suspiciously in the area.
