2 Chinese caught with P4-M shabu

- Non Alquitran -

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday two Chinese who yielded 1.5 kilos of shabu worth P4 million after a brief chase from Mandaluyong City to Makati.

Operatives of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (AIDSOTF) also confiscated the car used by suspects Stephen Li, 25, and Li Huang, 45, in their illegal drug trade.

Lawyer Roque Merdegia Jr. of the AIDSOTF legal division said Li and Huang have been under surveillance prior to their arrest.

A team headed by Superintendent Ismael Fajardo of the AIDSOTF special operations unit (SOU) arranged the purchase of 1.5 kilos of shabu from the suspects and agreed to meet somewhere in Mandaluyong City.

But the two Chinese sensed their presence, prompting them to flee on board their vehicle.
