MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim remained silent yesterday on the tandem of former President Joseph Estrada and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno for the mayoral and vice mayoral elections in 2013.
“No comment. Let Manila resident judge whether I have done something for Manila. I have reached this age without saying anything bad against anyone,” he said.
Lim made the statement as he inaugurated the new Honorio T. Lopez Bridge in Balut, Tondo. He said it is too early to talk about politics and his focus remains on implementing programs that would benefit needy Manila residents in terms of education, health services and other social services.
The bridge will be useful for those going to Caloocan and Navotas, particularly those coming from Tondo, especially Pritil and Gagalangin.
At another event, the 115th death anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio held at the Bonifacio Shrine beside Manila City Hall yesterday, Lim said “the people will not believe talk without basis.”
