MANILA, Philippines - A man and his nephew died after stabbing each other in a drunken rage in Caloocan City yesterday.
Police identified the victims as Saturnino Samaco, 44, and his nephew, Mark Anthony Rosales, 22.
Witnesses said the two had an argument prior to the stabbing but were pacified.
However, as Rosales slept, Samaco – who had not gotten over the argument – stabbed his nephew in the chest with an eight-inch kitchen knife. Rosales mustered enough strength to pull the knife embedded in his chest and stab Samaco in the left shoulder.
Both men were taken by relatives to the MCU Hospital. Samaco was declared dead on arrival, while Rosales died while being treated. The two men apparently died from severe blood loss, police said.
