MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has changed its mark on public utility vehicles from English to Filipino to encourage more passengers to report erring PUV drivers.
Since five years ago, the LTFRB has required all PUVs to bear the question “How’s my driving?” and the LTFRB’s hotline number. In an April 24 circular, the agency said the new marking would read “May reklamo ka? Itawag sa LTFRB” which means “Have a complaint? Call the LTFRB.”
The circular, approved by chairman Jaime Jacob and board members Manuel Iway and Samuel Julius Garcia, will take effect on May 11.
