MANILA, Philippines - A policeman assigned to secure Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales reported a traffic altercation involving members of her convoy along EDSA in Quezon City on Wednesday.
Morales was on her way home when the driver of a Mitsubishi Montero Sport (PQG-457) reportedly kept on getting too close to a vehicle occupied by the Ombudsman’s security aides along EDSA’s southbound lane in Barangay South Triangle at past 4 p.m. Wednesday, Senior Police Officer 1 Jessie Caranto reported.
Superintendent Marcelino Pedrozo Jr., Quezon City Police District Station 10 commander, said there was no actual contact between the two vehicles and Morales was in a different car.
Pedrozo said Caranto filed the report on Thursday but had yet to come back as of yesterday to file an actual complaint.
