Fires hit Manila, Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons, including a fireman, were hurt when a fire broke out in Sampaloc, Manila on Tuesday night.

Injured were Fire Officer 3 Albert Albay, Albert Penaflor, 13, and Romy Dimasuay, 70.

Arson prober Louie Ebio said the blaze started at the three-story residential/commercial building owned by Juan Marinara.

In Caloocan City, a fire sparked by faulty electrical wiring gutted a house owned by Adalia Tan on Sunshine street, Capitol Parkland Subdivision, Camarin yesterday.

Firemen prevented the flames from spreading to nearby houses.– Sandy Araneta, Jerry Botial
