MANILA, Philippines - At least 200 kilos of “double dead” meat also known as “botcha” were seized by authorities near Paco market in Manila yesterday.
Dr. Rolando Marquez of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) said the “hot” meat may have been abandoned by its owner after sensing that NMIS team was conducting inspection of the market.
He said the tainted meat was apparently ready for delivery.
