Bureau of Immigration to deport Japanese for illegal recruitment

- Evelyn Macairan -

MANILA, Philippines - A 61-year-old Japanese national who allegedly used a non-government organization (NGO) to illegally recruit Filipinas to work as nightclub entertainers in his native country would soon be deported, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said yesterday.

In a statement, the BI said the Teruaki Nasu’s organization purportedly helps Filipinos who are children of Japanese nationals to travel to Japan and file lawsuits and claims for damages against their parents. He allegedly used the organization as a front to allow his recruits to enter Japan as tourists to work at a nightclub in Gyoda that is allegedly owned by a certain Yoshimasa Matsuoka.
