-

MANILA, Philippines – A couple and their 18-year-old grandson were burned to death in a one-hour fire that hit their two-storey house in Barangay Namayan, Mandaluyong City at past midnight yesterday.

The bodies of Eduardo Yangco Jr., 73; his wife, Norma, 77; and their grandson, Lester Yangco, an information technology student of the University of the East, were burned beyond recognition on the second floor.

Lester’s parents, Eduardo Jr. and Milagros, are being treated at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center for second-degree burns on their hands.

City arson investigation chief Inspector Francia Embalsado said they are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
