Bus runs over boy at terminal

MANILA, Philippines – An eight-year-old boy died when a bus ran over him at a terminal in Caloocan City Sunday afternoon.

Police said Ron Dave Suarez and his mother, Arlene, came from a mall in Monumento and were walking at the Victory Bus Line terminal when a bus (CVP-434) driven by Rosalio Lupio, 41, ran over him.

Lupio was reportedly maneuvering the bus and failed to notice Suarez, who was walking a few meters away from his mother.

Suarez was rushed to the Manila Central University Hospital for treatment but died along the way, Police Officer 2 Ferdinand Manabat said.

Manabat said they will charge Lupio with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
