-

MANILA, Philippines - A man was stabbed dead in the North Cemetery in Sta. Cruz, Manila and his body found by children yesterday morning.

The children reported discovering the body of Amando Capco, 52, a resident of Maharlika Subdivision in Taytay, Rizal, to Dick Manahan, a caretaker of a tomb near where the victim was found.

A jungle knife that may have been used in the attack was found beside Capco’s body. Police said a pair of crutches was also found near Capco, who may have suffered from polio.

Manahan told police the victim would visit a mausoleum in the cemetery and stay there for days if he had a problem. Capco’s body was brought to the Cruz Funeral Parlor. – Sandy Araneta
