Manila seawall repair completed next month - DPWH

- Evelyn Macairan -

MANILA, Philippines - The repair of the damaged portion of the seawall along Roxas Boulevard would be finished by next month, an official of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said yesterday.

DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) director Reynaldo Tagudando said the target date is March 15.

The 1.4-kilometer section of the seawall, from the United States embassy to the Manila Yacht Club, was damaged by strong winds and big waves at the height of typhoon “Pedring” in September last year.

The DPWH said the cost of the repair is estimated at P97 million.
