QCPD to get new director

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Police District will have a new director this week, QCPD head Chief Superintendent George Regis said yesterday.

Regis told QCPD officials during a command conference that Chief Superintendent Mario dela Vega will take over his post during the turnover ceremony at Camp Karingal tomorrow. Regis said he will be the new director of the Southern Police District.

Dela Vega will relinquish his current post as chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in the Visayas.

Dela Vega was once chief of directorial staff, which is fourth in command, during the term of Magtanggol Gatdula as QCPD chief.
