MANILA, Philippines - An alleged burglar, arrested last Jan. 29, was identified by the occupants of seven houses in Cubao, Quezon City he reportedly broke into during a spree that started on Jan. 24, police said yesterday.
Senior Police Officer 4 Allan de la Cruz said witnesses also said they saw Wilfredo Torres, 49, drive away in his black Nissan Sentra (TLA-669). De la Cruz said Torres was reportedly able to steal as much as P2 million during his six-day spree.
Torres was arrested in his Antipolo City house – which he allegedly recently bought for P1.5 million – after he reportedly robbed Department of Tourism employee Pablo Espejo.
