Body dumped in Malate
MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man suspected of having been summarily executed was discovered in Malate, Manila before dawn yesterday.
Police described the victim as between 40 and 45 years old, at least 5’7” tall, of medium build, with curly hair and clad in a blue t-shirt and a pair of short pants. His right foot bore a tattoo of the jailhouse gang “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik.”
The victim bore strangulation marks on his neck, investigators said, adding that the man “could have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped” at the corner of Agoncillo and Remedios streets, where it was discovered at around 3 a.m.
