MMDA: Latest Bourne film to be shot along EDSA
MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday confirmed that the cast and crew of the upcoming movie “Bourne Legacy” will shoot some scenes along EDSA this month.
MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino said the film’s director selected EDSA’s Pasay-Taft Rotunda section for a lengthy car chase scene. He said the MMDA clean up the area of the proposed shoot.
“They selected the EDSA-Pasay Taft Rotunda. We will fix that area. We will not close that area but we will help. Part of the script calls for a car chase. We may close some portions if needed,” he said.
MMDA spokesperson Alu Dorotan said the film’s Philippine production team has started coordinating with the MMDA.
Dorotan also confirmed that actors Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton and Jeremy Renner will be in Metro Manila for the shooting. It was earlier reported that Renner will replace Matt Damon in the role of Jason Bourne.
