Quezon City sets up business-friendly permit application process

- Rhodina Villanueva -

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City government has put in place easy and new steps in the new application and renewal of business permits for 2012 to make the city more “business friendly.”

Starting Jan. 2, taxpayers will have 11 easy steps to follow in securing business permits.

City administrator Dr. Victor Endriga said the city government also created a special lane called “Millionaire’s Club” for business establishments that pay taxes of at least P1 million.

The Millionaire’s Club will have a separate area at the second floor of the city hall building. This is where the processing of their new application or renewal of their mayor’s permit will be done.

Refreshments such as cookies, bread, coffee and sodas will also be available at the Millionaire’s Club lounge.

“Millionaire’s Club members will just proceed to the second floor and sit down. Our assigned ushers and usherettes will process their business permits within the day,” Endriga noted.
