Drunk motorbike rider hits 8-year-old boy

MANILA, Philippines - A drunk teenager who was driving a motorcycle was arrested after he hit an eight-year-old boy in Caloocan City yesterday.

Alvin Castro, 18, was booked for driving under the influence of liquor, reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries, driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle, according to City Traffic Enforcement Unit chief Senior Inspector Gaylord Tamayo.

Police Officer 2 Rodelio Asuncion said Castro hit Adrian Pascual while the boy was walking along the side of the road.
