MANILA, Philippines - The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 and the EDSA-bound Metro Rail Transit (MRT) will have shorter operating hours on Dec. 24 and 31 due to the expected decline in passenger volume during these days, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said yesterday.
On Dec. 24, the last train will leave the Baclaran and Roosevelt stations of LRT Line 1 and the Santolan and Recto stations of LRT Line 2 at 8 p.m.
On Dec. 31, the last train will depart the Baclaran and Roosevelt stations of LRT Line 1 at 7 p.m. and at Line 2’s Santolan and Recto stations at 7:30 p.m.
At the MRT, the last train will leave the North Avenue station on Dec. 24 at 8:30 p.m. instead of the regular 10 p.m. schedule. The last train will leave the MRT’s Taft station on this date at 9 p.m. instead of 10:30 p.m.
On Dec. 25, the MRT will start operating at 7 a.m. instead of 5:30 a.m.
On Dec. 31, the MRT’s last train will leave the North Avenue station at 8:30 p.m. and Taft station at 9 p.m.
On Jan. 1, the first train will leave the MRT’s North Avenue station at 7 a.m. and Taft station at 7:30 a.m.
