MANILA, Philippines - Members of the Pasay City police were sent to Talisay, Batangas yesterday to find the suspect who shot Talisay Vice Mayor Florencio Manimtim Jr. in an ambush in front of a supermarket at a mall in Pasay City on Thursday.
Superintendent Samuel Turla, Pasay City police deputy chief for administration, told The STAR that a team is coordinating with the Batangas police to track down and arrest the suspect.
“We are following a good lead,” he said without elaborating.
Manimtim was seriously injured when he was shot in the back while standing outside a fast food restaurant at the corner of Harbor Drive and Sunset Avenue at around 11:30 a.m.
