Another Revilla sibling charged for slay
MANILA, Philippines - Another younger sibling of actor Ram Revilla (Ramgen Jose Bautista in real life) was charged with murder and frustrated murder for his death last Oct. 28.
Revilla’s girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, filed a supplemental complaint affidavit before the Parañaque City prosecutor’s office yesterday, implicating Gail Bautista and her husband, Hiro Furuyama, as “co-conspirators.”
“We impleaded them as co-conspirators because even the witnesses are claiming that they are indirect contact with Gail and Hiro,” said Manahan’s lawyer, Resty Mendoza.
Gail is the third sibling to be implicated in the actor’s murder. The two others are Ramon Joseph, who is currently detained at the Parañaque City Jail, and Ramona, who fled to Turkey.
Revilla was shot and stabbed to death in their family residence in BF Homes, Parañaque on Oct. 28. He was with Manahan and Ramona when the gunman barged into his room.
The attacker shot Manahan and Revilla but spared Ramona, who initially told the police that she was kidnapped. Ramona recanted her statement then left the country.
Manahan’s lawsuit brings to nine the number of accused persons in the case, including the Bautista siblings’ co-conspirators.
Mahanan and two police witnesses claimed that Revilla had physically abused his siblings, an allegation that Revilla’s mother, Genelyn Magsaysay, refused to confirm or deny.
