Stab to the heart killed Ramgen - NBI
MANILA, Philippines - A stab wound that pierced his heart caused the death of Ramgen Bautista, according to a report by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
NBI medico-legal chief Dr. Alvin David said Ramgen suffered 10 stab wounds, three cuts and a gunshot wound. The bullet was recovered from Ramgen’s body and sent to the bureau’s firearms investigation division to determine its caliber. As of yesterday, no ballistics test results were issued.
David said the stab wound that penetrated his heart caused a blood clot to form and eventually cause the victim’s death. He said a pointed, single-bladed instrument was used to stab Ramgen.
A stab wound in the arm indicated that Ramgen fought back, David said, adding there were also abrasions on the forehead, left and right shoulder and back.
David said the struggle may have taken some time.
