Fugitive nabbed in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - A man who fled from charges against him in his home province of Masbate was arrested for creating trouble in Caloocan City yesterday.
Darwin Mondonedo, 33, a native of Armenia Uson town in Masbate, reportedly caused a scandal and scared residents by displaying a handgun. Police Officer 1 Joy Alcoriza, who disarmed Mondonedo, said the handgun was a replica of a .9mm Beretta.
Alcoriza said the suspect was accused of car theft and frustrated murder in Masbate. Mondonedo is jailed at the Caloocan detention center pending the filing of appropriate charges.
