Malabon trader shot dead

MANILA, Philippines - Two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead a businessman in front of his house Saturday night in Malabon City.

Joseph Tancanco, 60, a resident of Barangay Acacia died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

Kay Olid, 39, told SPO1 Edcel de la Paz, that she and Tancanco had just arrived at the victim’s house aboard a silver Chevrolet Captiva at around 9:15 p.m. when the shooting occurred.

A Northern Police District Scene of the Crime Operatives team led by Chief Inspector Benigno Asilar recovered from the crime scene seven shells of .45 caliber pistol and a slug. The Malabon City police are still trying to establish the motive behind the killing.
