- Edu Punay -

MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old beauty salon owner was shot dead, allegedly by a customer, in his shop along C.M. Recto Avenue in Binondo, Manila Saturday night.

The body of Francisco Patawaran was found in the restroom of his salon, the Peachy Beauty Parlor, by his nephew, John Rivera, at around 11:30 p.m.

Rivera said he saw his uncle giving a haircut to a man who was aged around 35 to 38 before he left the parlor and went into a nearby computer shop.

Police said Patawaran was shot in the right side of the neck with a .9mm pistol.

Senior Police Officer 3 Edmundo Cabal of the Manila Police District’s homicide investigation section said they have yet to determine the motive for Patawaran’s killing.
