MANILA, Philippines - Another practical shooter is now in hiding as the killers of Philippine practical shooting team member Michael Lontoc are reportedly out to “silence” him, police said yesterday.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Alan Purisima said they are investigating reports that the shooter is also involved in a business related to that of Lontoc, who owned a gun store in Quezon City.
Purisima refused to name the shooter, but said investigators “are coordinating with his family. We want to learn from him the circumstances regarding Lontoc’s killing.”
Meanwhile, Purisima said they are stepping up the manhunt for Renante Egioma, the registered owner of a handgun used in Lontoc’s murder.
“We wanted to get Egioma alive so he can reveal to us who contracted him to kill Lontoc,” Purisima said.
