Manila's most wanted man falls

MANILA, Philippines - The most wanted man in Metro Manila – at least for the first quarter of this year – was arrested over the weekend in Nueva Vizcaya province, police said yesterday.

Marlon Altizo was caught by the Marikina City police at his brother’s house in Barangay Nalubhan, Quezon town Saturday night.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Alan Purisima said Altizo, who topped the Regional Target list on Criminal Gangs in Metro Manila for the first quarter of 2011, did not resist arrest.

Altizo is the subject of arrest warrants by a Marikina regional trial court for murder and a Parañaque City regional trial court for kidnapping with murder.

According to the Eastern Police District website, Altizo and two others reportedly abducted and decapitated Abraham Eric Gicole last April 26 in Barangay Tumana, Marikina.
