2 dead in Taguig crash

- Perseus Echeminada -

MANILA, Philippines - Two men were killed when the motorcycle they were riding rammed a concrete barrier along a flyover in Taguig City yesterday morning.

William Marcelino and Agustin Olili were declared dead on arrival at the Pateros-Taguig Hospital, according to Police Officer 1 Antonio Vicente.

He said Marcelino was driving the motorcycle (UQ 1325) along the northbound lane of C5 Road when he hit the concrete barrier while approaching the flyover. The two men were thrown from the motorcycle and suffered severe head injuries.

“The victims were not wearing any helmet and we also found out that Marcelino had no driver’s license,” Vicente told The STAR.

Rescue workers said the victims could have been drunk since they were reeking of alcohol when they were brought to the hospital.
