MANILA, Philippines - Hijackers stabbed dead the driver of a delivery van loaded with P800,000 worth of beauty products and left his helper bleeding to death in Tondo, Manila, police said yesterday.
Senior Inspector Joselito de Ocampo identified the driver as Henry Baraquias, between 45 and 50 years old. Helper Bryan Eduarde, 26, is reported to be in critical condition at a hospital.
Both victims are employed by ARO Logistics, Inc. of Cabuyao, Laguna, De Ocampo added.
ARO operations officer John Paul Jalindogan said the delivery van was on its way to Laguna when its global positioning system device stopped transmitting at past midnight in Taguig City.
“After its contents were emptied by the hijackers, the van was driven off and parked along North Bay Boulevard in Tondo,” De Ocampo told The STAR.
