MANILA, Philippines - A bloated body believed to be that of a victim of summary execution was found along the seashore of Navotas City Friday night.
Senior Police Officer 1 Reynato Pongco said the unidentified man’s head was wrapped in packaging tape and his body bore marks of torture. The victim was clad in underwear when he was found by a fisherman floating among garbage.
Pongco said the victim could have been dead for about two days, carried toward the shore by sea currents, when he was discovered. He said the victim was around 30 to 35 years old, 5’5” tall, and has a tribal tattoo on his back.
