Motorist shoots MMDA enforcer
MANILA, Philippines - A Metropolitan Manila Development Authority enforcer was shot by a motorist he was trying to apprehend along EDSA in San Juan City yesterday afternoon.
According to MMDA’s Metrobase, enforcer Larry Fiala – who is stationed in Cubao – chased the unidentified motorist’s black pickup truck (WMD-505) along EDSA on his motorcycle. He caught up with the truck at EDSA’s intersection with Connecticut street, but the driver shot at him and sped away.
Fiala suffered three gunshot wounds in the abdomen, hands and arms and was rushed to the Victor Potenciano Medical Center.
MMDA assistant general manager Emerson Carlos said they are coordinating with the police to catch the shooter.
