Woman's body stuffed in manhole

- Non Alquitran -

MANILA, Philippines - The decomposing body of a woman, stuffed in a garbage bag, was found in a manhole of a Mandaluyong City condominium yesterday.

The woman was clad in denim shorts and a brown shirt, but had no underwear, police said.

Police Officer 2 Donald Ybanez said they received a call yesterday from the security officer of the Jovan Condominium regarding a foul smell coming from a black garbage bag stuffed in a manhole at the second floor of building.

He said they found the body of a woman aged around 30 to 35 years old. She may have been dead for five days, according to police.

Building officials said none of their tenants are missing. Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin, city police chief said they are requesting a copy of footage taken by the building’s closed-circuit television camera from Aug. 18 to 21 to help them solve the case.
