MANILA, Philippines - A 40-year-old jobless man from Taguig City and a 66-year-old widower from Pasig City shared a total of P8,282,145.60 6/42 lotto jackpot in the draw last Aug. 13.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager said the two winners, who hit the winning combination, claimed their prizes Tuesday afternoon at the PCSO central office at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The winning numbers are 01-05-06-09-15-25.
The unemployed man, who is married but childless, bet on four sets of number combinations. He said he would spend his winnings for the education plan of his niece and deposit the rest in a bank.
The widower from Pasig City meanwhile, has five children, and said he wanted to buy a tricycle and house and lot for his family.
Both winners are avid lotto players and have kept number combinations that represent birthdays, and other significant events of family members.
The two are the 81st and 82nd members of the so-called “lotto millionaires club,” which now numbers more than 1,700 since the online lottery game of the PCSO was launched in 1995.
