2 vintage bombs found in QC

MANILA, Philippines - Two bombs believed to be from World War II were recovered by police at a construction site in Quezon City Monday afternoon.

Senior Superintendent Gerardo Ratuita, commander of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Public Safety Battalion, said scavenger Josephine Dunnuan found two 25-millimeter anti-aircraft shells on Aug. 11 at a construction site of the C-5 flyover at the corner of Commonwealth and Luzon Avenues.

He said the find was only reported to the Explosives and Ordnance Division Monday afternoon. The explosive devices were brought back to Camp Karingal and will be disposed of in Crow Valley in Tarlac.
