Actress' brod loses SUV to carjackers
MANILA, Philippines - A man who claimed to be actress Rufa Mae Quinto’s brother reported losing a sport utility vehicle (SUV) to a carjacker in Caloocan City at past midnight yesterday.
Caloocan police anti-carnapping unit chief Senior Inspector Allan Emlano said the carjacker took a blue 2010 Montero Sport (NQR-900) owned by Alexander Quinto.
Alexander’s wife, Jaymee Rose, 29, was driving the car and slowed down as she neared their house at around 1:15 a.m. A man wearing a black jacket aimed a handgun at her and ordered her to stop, police said.
The man pulled her from the car, went behind the wheel and drove away, taking a laptop, important papers and P200,000, according to Jaymee Rose. An alarm has been raised for the vehicle.
